HOLIDAY GIFT WRAP

Do something different after Thanksgiving! Join artist Lauren Becker Downey at Bravo School of Art for this fun holiday workshop. Personalize your holiday gift giving as you wrap gifts in paper that you print yourself. Using acrylic paint and a variety of stamping techniques, create one-of-a-kind, gorgeous gift wrap. Learn about step and repeat, pattern and design. Cut images such as menorahs, stars, trees, snowmen, etc. into erasers, potatoes or sponges to produce your stamps, or use leaves and flower petals for printing onto paper. Pre-registration is necessary.
Fee: $38 members / $44 non-members + $10 Materials fee
HOLIDAY GOURD ORNAMENTS
Friday, November 27, 10am – 2pm
Do something different after Thanksgiving! Join artist Carol Lang at Bravo School of Art for this fun holiday workshop. Celebrate the holidays by making gourd ornaments for your home. Embellish them with wood burning, paints, dyes, jewelry findings, ribbon or natural materials such as seeds or seed pods. Students should be able to finish at least two and have materials to complete a third ornament. All levels of experience are welcome. Please bring sharp scissors, a towel and a pail to soak materials. Pre-registration is necessary.
Fee: $50 members / $58 non-members + $15 materials fee
COPPER OR BRASS HOLIDAY ORNAMENT
Saturday, November 28, 10am – 3pm
Join artist / instructor Sharon Novak at Bravo School of Art for this fun holiday art workshop. Stars, angels, trees, birds, bells, reindeer or abstract forms are some of the possibilities for the holiday ornament you can create using thin-gauge copper or brass sheet and basic metal working tools and techniques. Cut, texture, and form the metal dimensionally. Learn to twist, coil and sew wires and attach colorful glass beads to add detail to your design. Create a decorative brass hook and your ornament is complete. Pre-registration is necessary.

FLOOR CLOTH
Sunday, November 29, 10am – 4pm
Join artist / instructor Lauren Becker Downey at Bravo School of Art for this fun holiday art workshop. Traditional floor cloths, dating back before Colonial America, are made of canvas. You’ve seen them in upscale furniture stores, galleries and magazines. Popular floor cloths are an alternative to the traditional rug or carpet for floors. Now create your own made of durable floor vinyl. Learn how to prepare, design and paint this decorative and functional piece of art for your home. Brushes, paints, ideas and a primed 2 x 3 piece of flooring will be provided.

PAINTED FURNITURE
Sunday, November 29, 10am – 4pm
Join artist / instructor Lauren Becker Downey at Bravo School of Art for this fun holiday art workshop. Learn how easy it is to create your own piece of decorative functional art by painting images, textures or patterns on furniture! Please bring an old or new chair, small table, large picture frame, bench, etc. For inspiration, bring pictures, cards, gift wrap or art books of your favorite artist. Ideas, brushes, paint, etc. will be provided. Priming instructions sent upon registration.

SILVER EARRINGS
Monday, November 30, 10am – 4pm
Join artist / instructor Sharon Novak at Bravo School of Art for this fun holiday art workshop. Create a pair of unique sculptural earrings in sterling silver using basic jewelry/metalworking techniques and tools! Design and cut shapes out of thin-gauge metal, texture the surface, and form the metal dimensionally. Add movement with linear elements of twisted, bent or coiled wires, and color contrast with shapes of copper or brass and glass beads. Attach ear wires and wear your earrings home! All tools and materials are provided.
Fee: $74.00 members / $86.00 non-members + $19 materials fee

Bravo provides the finest in hands-on art education in a creative, supportive and safe environment for children and adults.
