Corvette Diner Coming to Liberty Station

July 2, 2008

Bringing San Diego’s favorite family-style restaurant to San Diego’s premier destination to live, work, shop and play, Liberty Station is pleased to announce that its newest tenant is the Cohn Restaurant Group’s Corvette Diner.  The popular, 21-year old Hillcrest restaurant will be relocating to 2965 Historic Decatur Road, at Lytton Ave., just inside the gates of Liberty Station at the former NTC’s Officer’s Club.  Hard Work, Inc. (Cohn Restaurant Group) signed a 10-year lease for the 13,000 square foot building, and McMillin, NTC Landing Master Tenant, LLC will remain the landlord.

The former Officer’s Club is undergoing extensive renovations including new mechanical, electric and plumbing systems, new roofing, and interior finishes to transform it into the Corvette Diner. The restaurant will also feature twelve-foot ceilings and ample parking.

The award-winning Corvette Diner has been recognized with the Tops for Fun Award from Gourmet magazine, the Gold Medallion Award for Best Family Dining in 2008 from the California Restaurant Association, and the 2008 Best Dining with Kids Award from San Diego Magazine.  The restaurant is known for its sassy waitresses decked out in poodle skirts and bouffant hairdos, the full-size Corvette hanging from the ceiling, the 50’s memorabilia, nightly DJ, and regular appearances by a magician and a balloon animal artist.  For more information about the Corvette Diner, click here.

The Cohn Restaurant Group, founded by David and Lesley Cohn, is one of San Diego’s premier hospitality groups.  With nearly a dozen different restaurants in San Diego, the Cohn Restaurant Group has helped shape the flavor of San Diego.  Some of San Diego’s favorite Cohn restaurants include The Prado at Balboa Park, Indigo Grill in Little Italy, and the Gaslamp Strip Club downtown.  For more information about the Cohn Restaurant Group, visit: http://www.cohnrestaurants.com.
