Vons Grand Opening and Food Drive
October 25, 2007A milestone event will take place at Liberty Station Marketplace on Thursday, November 1st, 2007.
The new Vons grocery store will celebrate their “Grand Opening” at 3:00pm with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The ceremony will take place in front of Vons at Liberty Station located at 2495 Truxton Road. There is no need to RSVP for this event. Everyone is welcome!
The grand opening event will also be the kick off of the San Diego Food Bank’s Fire and Hunger Relief Food Drive to benefit San Diego community members that suffered loss caused by the fires. In the wake of the disaster the fire has left our city and county, this would be a remarkable way to help those in need. Please donate canned and non-perishable food for distribution to those who have been affected by the recent wildfires.
As previously posted, the Wine Tasting Fundraiser has been cancelled due to the recent firestorm our city and county has endured. The event will be rescheduled for a later date with details to follow. Pre-purchased tickets will be honored on the new date.
